Mr and Mrs Davenport

My husband and I have been married for a year and half now and I am still working on making our house a home for us to enjoy.

My favorite creation is the canvas hanging over our bed. It was so simple to make and since I made it on a canvas I can move it to a new location anytime I want with little effort.

All I did was pick out a canvas, paint, and order the vinyl. I painted the canvas 2 times and made sure to leave it looking a little streaky so it didn't look to polished. When the vinyl arrives I was careful to place it in the perfect spot, rub it on and hang it up on the wall.

This was much cheaper than buying it completed at a store.

Pinterest Ideas

So I got my sister to send me an invite to Pinterest and now I am hooked.
So many ideas started running through my mind on how I could turn our home into a better house that is more efficient

I want to turn our super cute middle room into a playroom for our daughter Lola and a small space for a desk. The middle room was painted for the little boy that lived in the house before us with a cute farm scene so it is the perfect room for a playroom.

Thought ran through my mind of how to have an area for toys but keep them neat and put away but fashionable for the house. I came across some ideas for bookshelves having storage boxes on them. Then I tried to figure out how to make storage boxes out of diaper boxes, (WE HAVE A LOT OF DIAPER BOXES LATELY, PERFECT)
Since I have free diaper boxes to use (not counting the cost of diapers since they would be trash anyway), I thought what else could I use that I already have to keep the cost down. My mind wondered to a bookshelf I salvaged from the trash, PERFECT!! So now I am left with the cost of material to cover my boxes and cute embellishments

So I headed to Hobby Lobby today and bought ribbon for the boxes.

I can't wait to get started and start sharing pics along the way. :)
